Stunning reflections in St. Ouen's Bay
Storm Imogen whipping up the sea into a frenzy. It was incredible and hard to stand at times, let alone hold a camera and keep it dry from all the foam, spray and rain.
Crepuscular rays and a fabulous wave - St. Ouen's Bay
4th March 2014 - Taken during a Colin Homes weekend workshop. This was dawn at La Rocque Harbour.
The incredible Lunar Eclipse that took place on 28.09.15
Les Ecrehous is a group of islands and rocks situated six miles north-east of Jersey, and eight miles from France. What a stunning place, so peaceful and idyllic. Would love to go back at high tide.
Great fun timing the waves in St. Ouen's Bay against a stunning sunset backdrop!
Well that was a interesting trip down to Portelet beach. Experienced possibly the heaviest torrential rain I have seen for a long time as well as massive overhead thunder and lightning. It was quite incredible! Got just one shot of a strike over the tomb before it all got too much and had to escape.
Sunset from the dunes in St. Ouen's Bay.
I thought I'd try out a wave panning technique whilst sheltered in little Petit Port. First time I have tried it. I have much to learn. I quite liked this one though. It's a start.
Golden light blessing Petit Port rocks and slipway
Waves crashing against our sea defences in St. Ouen's Bay. As the sun was setting is cast an amazing array of colours through the water.
It may have been raining but it wasn't going to stop me capturing this double rainbow at the White House (Le Don Hilton) that evening. It was so bright!
It's a lovely walk between Petit Port and Fermain Bay and we were delighted to walk through the Bluebell Woods. So pretty. The sun was just starting to dip behind the headland so I grabbed the camera and caught this lovely light through the trees.
A stunning sunset in Petit Port in between the rocks.
An incredible storm and lightning show taken just before 6am as a plane circled before landing. What a moment - never to be repeated!
23rd March 2013 - Before the fog reached one of Jersey's iconic landmarks, Corbiere Lighthouse, I ran onto the small beach and captured this shot. This image was one of the six winning shots in the Picture Jersey competition 2013.
6th July 2014 - Took a little walk down Belcroute this morning. Had the beach to myself for about an hour. Bliss!
Did I wake up in paradise? This morning's sunrise was so peaceful and calm. A complete contrast to the stormy waves I photographed only 2 days ago!
14th December 2014
11th June 2013 - A breezy and bright walk on St. Ouen's beach with my husband. The fishermen had just returned with their boat, leaving great leading line tracks in the sand.
Rough at sunrise this morning!
Wasn't expecting it to be so rough at Corbiere this evening. It did mean I was the only one down there though!
How amazing to witness St. Aubin's Fort all lit up to mark the finale to the Branchage Festival tonight and in absolutely perfect weather conditions too. Using the very latest 3D Projection Mapping technology, hundreds, if not thousands of people watched a magnificent, moving visual experience by animators NOVAK and QED Productions, who have previously collaborated to create visual spectacles for the 2012 Cultural Olympiad and the incredible 2013 Derry-Londonderry Lumiere. I thought it was spectacular. I have quite a few images but I will leave you with one of my favourites, bursting with colour!
25th August 2014 - Taken at 6am on Archirondel beach. Nobody about except me to marvel at Mother Nature. A great day to be alive!
16th July 2014 - The sun burst through the clouds just before setting to reveal some deep orange light over St. Ouen's Bay.
Jersey was treated to yet another incredible storm last night! YI shot at Corbiere Lighthouse then followed the storm round to the North West point at Grosnez Castle where the storm intensified and produced a lot more fork lightning (and torrential rain). I won't forget these storms, EVER!
27th June 2014 - Tonight's sunset shared with my boys. As the tide went out some nice pool shapes appeared.
25th June 2014 - Really peaceful sunrise sitting on the slipway at Rozel this morning.
22nd July 2014 - About 5-10 minutes after sunset, the sky burst into colour over St. Ouen's Bay. One of the best sunset experiences I have had, especially as I shared it with my eldest son.
This morning was an amazing experience and made unique with the 'Paper Plane' shot (also posted in my gallery) but I had been shooting for almost an hour before I got that shot and thought that THIS one was going to be my best ever shot when I saw it on the back of the camera. I thought I would post it too. I have never witnessed so many forks but that is probably due to the fact that lightning scares me so much. However, I am definitely getting more comfortable with it as well as being out in the dark!
15th March 2014 - Taken during a trip out to the mussel beds in Grouville with fellow photographer Gary Stringfellow. Simplicity.
